Looks good man. I had a few questions. For one, how much was it to powdercoat the rear bumper? I'm considering doing the same to my black Taco.

I'm also thinking of getting Gunmetal grey TRD decals from tiptopsigns, as black would be too hard to see on my black truck.. This is good stuff right here!

    Thank you!

I'm in the biz, so the bumper was cheap. But I removed it myself and then give it to my paint guy. That's the way to go. If you can take it off and drive it over to your body shop of choice it should only be a couple hundred or less depending on where you live. You could always tape it off and PlastiDip it to see if you like the look and then decide. I personally cannot stand chrome in any fashion on any car (unless it's a classic). Your body shop will most likely tell you paint doesn't stick great to chrome, and they are right. So the warranty might not be the same as with a normal job. But if they scuff it up enough and do it right it will last.

I love the gunmetal TRD decal idea! That will look great. Expect some work removing the OEM stickers. Get some goo remover and a hair dryer, grab and edge, heat it up as you go, and go slowly.

I think I have an idea of who makes that bar, but I cannot find it for sale anywhere.

How much longer until it hits production?

thanks for the details. I don't need to plastidip it. I'm pretty sure already I'll love the look of powdercoating the rear bumper black like you have yours. It's impressive looking.

I can remove it myself, I guess I just need to find someone to do the powdercoat. Is that TRD decal removal process a slow and tedious one? I'm thinking about also removing the pinstripe and have a feeling it will require the same method.

    Thanks man

Another question for TheNineOneOne. I see you have the 5001 pro comps in 16"s. Any problems with fitment in hitting the front brake calipers? I only ask because some guys have talked about their pro comp 7089's in 16"s having fitment issues when new brake pads are put on. Some haven't had any problems. And maybe the machining on the inside is completely different on these wheels anyhow.

The decal comes off pretty easy... Just take your time and pull slowly and it will come off in big chunks.

You can buy the front grille surround in any Toyota color you want to match your truck. Then for the emblems you can either remove them and paint them yourself, buy new ones and paint them and then install, or plastidip the existing ones. That's the easiest way to go but it won't last forever... If it comes off you can always redo it. The rear bumper can be plastidip'd too, or just take it to your local body shop and have them paint it.

No issues at all with the brake calipers. The only issue was with the caps... They fit extremely tight and are a PITA to get on or off, but other than that, they are perfect and very aggressive. With this setup I did have some rubbing on the front mud flaps, but I trimmed out the inside where there is a bulge and all is fine.

Just FYI, the bar is actually going to cost $375 before shipping. Sorry for the mistake. The price was not finalized...
