    thanks so much, it is a super duty bumper for sure. it was a breeze to install. I thought that their price was great as well, $579 shipped from idaho to n.c.

    the factory hitch is not built into the bumper. the cbi bumper comes with a hitch built into it. to remove the factory bumper, you remove the mounting brackets that attach to the frame. i think it was 6 bolts on each side, the bumper supporting bars, brackets, and hitch gomes off with one swoop. the cbi bumper is one solid piece, there is nothing bolted together. you just attach it back to the frame with the 6 bolts on each side and bam you got a new bumper. the cbi hitch is welded on to the base of the bumper, and is rock solid. i have used it several times it is great. it has safety chain hooks and everything. this bumper is super solid, and supported way better than the factory bumper.

    This is the new version. The older one did not have a recess in it for the license plate and just didn't flow as well as this one does with the body lines. The old version was more square and really meant to be with a swing-away so it had a good place to put the plate. This one will work great either with a swing-away or without a swing-away.
