Has anyone else installed and have these running ?

One thing I didn't realize was my non-LED (Orig) with Auto/DRL Off option

Would still run the DRL's in Amber...still pretty

Running or Park Lights with side marker

    Low Beams

DRL = Off for those Bright DRL Running, they are Auto when using the EFI circut

    Super Bright DRLs DRL off.jpg

BTW...make sure you do this, just so you don't scratch your paint... when doing this solo, deff helps

anyone know what the lower/mid connector (nothing plugged into it) im thinking fogs pr front cam prewire ?

about 2 and 1/2 beers (time and difficulty level) if you have the very few tools needed and already watched videos and read instructions... understanding the wiring and conversion bundles that come with the kit stumped me for a few minutes. turned out i didn't need any of that but the (also included) DRL Splitter/Fuse tap

about 2 hours taking my time, by myself enjoying a pretty day

Is the amber running lights an option? I’m looking for an upgrade and rather have the amber drl instead of the white ones that I see for sale

I think it depends on how you wire it. Since you have an SR5, you can possibly run amber. I cannot run amber because I have a TRD.

You think that’s for all light housing?

I was actually pleasantly surprised to see these in Amber...i thought they were all white unless you modded them. However, when i saw the Gen 2 vers that used 6 low beams and 4 high.. i was careful to order the latest edition of these.

They come with these connected...so i believe these are for the TRD or possibly OEM LED setups, looks like they combine the DRL along with the side markers

I think the SR and SR5 are wired the same and use the same housings/connectors...

When I use my "Auto" lights function on the stalk the DRL and Park are amber. When using left or right turn signal, that side will go off and flash/seq bright amber. When I lock or unlock after just getting out of the vehicle or at night...again flash/seq amber. At night...the headlights come on, they turn from amber to normal white. DRLs go off and H/Ls come on

I have to turn my stalk to "DRL off" (with the DRL split/tap connected) to get the DUAL bright DRLs in white, which work great through the EFI circuit.... w/o this tap, there is NO DUAL bright white DRL!

I think with the gen 2 vers and the way they are wired for SR or SR5 this is a go forward.

    bumdle.jpg

the black connector with the yellow boot and blue wire is replaced with the DRL split/tap on the new housing

Better check with TRS... I remember it being said that if you run amber all of the time you risk overheating the built in turn signal resistors. I was told that's a big no no for my Gen 1 headlights.

Not sure if that applies to Gen 2 headlights but better safe than risking damage to your rig.

    @TRSAndrew any comment?

I had read that to and decided NOT to try and go that route

I didn't change or mode anything...this is standard plug and play setup, direct connect from Morimoto

I saw the same plug on my 2020 TRD OR and I am curious as to what that is for? Connected to the park lights or some other part of the lighting circuit? I hope someone can answer.
Edit: By the way the lights look awesome if I can scrape up the free cash I will be buying some. That is after the wheels I want. Sad thing is the lights are more than the wheels. Lol

The LEDs are holding okay...occasional blinker fail (not running resistors) it fixes itself

very disappointed with the lens though, only two years old and getting pretty serious fog on the lens... i thought these were supposed to be better than stock :(

trying to figure out a way to clean them up... still love the color and brightness

I've had mine for 2 years, no issues with lenses fogging up and I'm in the PNW

Did you take the built in resistors off the bottom of each headlight? Lol. They have them built into each unit
