$700 to do the entire front bumper (painted surfaces only), headlights & fog lights in XPEL

Mine came with leading edges on hood & fenders from toyota so I didnt have to request a full quote for that.

IMG_5064.jpg Dumb question. What tool / size do I need to remove these bolts (holding my TH mullet to the bed rails).

Looks like a Torx head. I'd use a torx bit that fits the slot without slipping.

In seriousness, just buy a basic set of Torx sockets, I'm sure you'll find more stuff that uses them too.

Edit: even better answer: just take one of the bolts into the store so you can find the right size bit :D

4G hood is so much lighter than the 3G. With the 3G hood you had to quickly get your fingers out of the way letting go of it. Otherwise your fingers would get smashed. With the 4G, not enough height upon release will cause it not to latch. In my case I don't see any need for struts.

    Is it steel or aluminum?

My geezer wheezers hood is aluminum and so light even using your pinky is simple. My Gen 2's hood is an entirely different scenario.

Right now thinking about keeping to put it back on for a trade-in whenever Toyota comes to its senses and puts a sunroof on this trim for the US market. I really, really, miss a sunroof.

Edit: I will DM you if I change my mind.

Sunroofs are something everyone wants until they have one. They [some vehicle models have horrible issues with them] are a problem just waiting to happen.

Of all the vehicles I have owned that had a sunroof, I honestly can say I've probably actually used the things while moving 1/2 dozen times. They can be nice to keep the heat down parked on a hot day so I'll give them that cred.

Who would buy a Taco with a convertible top like the old Dodge Dakota sport pick up had? [and yes, there is still one floating around locally]

This is tiresome. Vegans, 5K oil change experts, sunroof people. All have to chime in for whatevah reason. Your one experience doesn't matter to me. I have had sunroofs on all my vehicles and have never had a problem. Including one for 17 years. I go for the sun, because I love the sun. I hate the feels of a tin can. I thought Toyota got the motivation of people with the trailhunter trim. Naw, they just going to do the next year model grift. So yeah. Bug off. I want my sunroof.

Totally respect what folks preferences are. I will say that I’ve always been a sunroof guy. But I also think the cabin is quieter and cooler in the summer without it. In Canada the TH gets a sunroof.

Yeah, don't know why the canucks are special. I merely stated a reason for a future trade-in. Someone has to chime in to save me. I don't need saving. Not like anyone is capable.
