I posted this in my "1st Gen vs 2012 Dilemma" thread, but can't resist showing off my new toy in its own thread.

    Anyway, just today picked up a 39k mile 2003 XtraCab 4x4 SR5 2.7L 5spd.

I had been planning on buying a new 2012 when they came out... but kept keeping an eye out for a nice low mile 1st gen while I waited on the 2012s to arrive. And the more I looked the more I kept finding myself liking the true "compact truck" platform. Don't get me wrong, I like the 2nd gens too and I am sure the new 2012s will be cool... but I couldn't pass up on this.

So without further adieu... here it is:

You'll need to host your pics somewhere like Photobucket and then use the tags to post it.

    Thanks everyone...it is a nice truck & was a good find. :)

Robgeetar... He told me that a guy from CA had called him a couple hours after I had left my deposit. Guess he was telling the truth. He was a cool guy.

Anyway, yes he was asking $15,500 (which was high KBB). It is probably worth that, but I hate paying asking price! :) Anyway, I paid $14,150. But since he was a car dealer (albeit -small time) I also had to pay sales tax! :( I knew this going in though so in the end I still paid about $15,500 out the door. Which I am very happy with...after all, I was gonna buy a 2012 in a couple months & pay $25k+...yep I am happy! :)

I'd say you did pretty good. I got my 02 DC with 49k on it for $15k a few months ago. Enjoy it, I'm loving mine so far.
