Well, I have decided to create an Off Road Trailer to move my gear out of the truck and my RTT from my Topper. Doing this thread to keep track of my goals and progress. If it interests anyone that is a bonus. I am going to create a post for each significant step or process in the build. I will also track my costs along the way

    Current Project Cost:
    Total Build Cost To Date:

    Goals:

    1. Greater speed and ease of camp set up. Will not have to unload storage boxes and set up tables and kitchen etc.

    2. Ability to leave camp set up and have less weight in the truck when wheeling.

I have been looking for a trailer frame I could build up from. I found a mostly built Off Road Trailer in Virginia and could not pass it up. Drove 1000 miles round trip Friday Night and Saturday to pick it up. 20231231_150707.jpg
Current Project Cost: $900.00 Trailer purchase
Total Project Cost To Date: $900.00

The first project was to remove the interior and exterior cladding. Neither of these were in a finished state and would rather start from the frame rather than try to match materials.

It also has no tail lights so that is the first project.

Cladding Removed and Tail Lights installed and wired.

    Project cost $95.00
Total Build Cost To Date: $995.00

    Next project - Fenders
