When you grow up you’ll find that a simple phone call or email to the company clearly explaining your issues is a much better way to go about life than spamming the internet with half cocked complaints.

So you had your buddy and brother make 1 star reviews also? More so seems like a minor miscommunication you blew up for no reason. But yet you aren't complaining right?

If you’re not going to read the terms of service before purchasing something that’s fine but you should probably read it before you go online and bash a company.

Also slow response time from a small business this time of year could possibly be due to increased volume of orders/possible time off for the holidays.

    New year, new me…ish.

it’s Sunday and not Friday so that’s surprising.

I think @WarFab Armor should reconsider how they handle military discounts.

nothing wrong with making a phone call (can’t say pick up the phone cause that’s lost on the current generation) and having a conversation with them as emotion and context is much more easily conveyed than it is over text or email.

Wait until OP orders something from Gobi…

We haven't heard of many 16 year olds ordering parts using daddy's credentials and complaining on this site. Warfab probably hasn't seen many either.

The deposit is to cover the cost of materials. Four months is pretty typical for a bumper build. My MobTown bumper took 11 months and that was fully paid upfront.

When you ordered the bumper, did you get an estimated completion date from Warfab? Mastercard's dispute window is 120 days from date of promised delivery (despite what the Capital One customer rep may tell you). This should be considered a nuclear option for cases where the vendor goes insolvent.
    Right on their site: https://warfabarmor.com/pages/military-first-responder-discounts

2 months is nothing to wait for custom parts. Sounds more like you changed your mind or were called out on fraud and are defensive...

I've ordered plenty of things from warfab and have always been able to be in touch in a few days. It's a small shop, he's busy, has a kid, has a life. Email or pm him and he'll get back to you.

If your old man calls the cops on you for credit card theft he can probably get the deposit back... it's what I'd do. You might get arrested but no jail and you're a minor...put your dad on, we need to talk.

Neither Warfab nor MobTown advertises as a large-scale company. And 11 months was on the high end of lead times - MobTown had operational problems, which probably led to their buyout and demise. However, it is unreasonable to expect a built-to-order bumper 2 months after ordering, unless the vendor stated this at time of order. Relentless, for example, is at 4-5 months. My Pelfreybilt bumper actually took 2.5 months in 2018, but that evidently wasn't sustainable.

There are various brands Hooke Road, DV8, 4WheelParts Factory, etc. selling pre-fabricated chineseium bumpers built in volume. Sometimes that's good enough. Sometimes a particular vendor offers a unique design not available elsewhere, so you wait.

Yes! Every time! That's how you protect yourself and/or make an informed decision. Maybe they don't state build time estimates on their website (I didn't take the time to look) but EVERY off-road manufacturer has been sitting at several month wait times for the last couple of years at least..some are at the 1yr wait time.
