So I wanted to know why mtn states toyota in Denver wanted $500 for bed rail system for my truck, I brought up the price that TRD parts 4 U had they would not even talk to me any more. I bought them from TRD parts for $32.32 a piece and the MSRP was $45. So after being blown off by the wimp of a sales man, they finally talk to me and I ask why the hell they try and rip us off here in Denver. They told me that the dealers in Texas have access to other toyota parts stock that no one else in the country have and after talking to the dealer in Texas he said that was not true. I will never buy service or recomend any one to go to mtn states toyota in Denver after how much money I have spent there and how the now want to treat me.

And my rant is done with a FUCK YOU MTN STATES TOYOTA!!

    That's fooked up.

I only bought a bug shield from my dealer here in the Springs. Well, that and the truck...

When I started negotiating for the truck they tried to short me $3k for my trade-in.

Mountain states gave me a great deal on my truck ($500 under invoice, no trade in). Negotiated over the phone, showed up the next day, left an hour to hour and a half later with my truck. Best experience I've ever had. A week later they mailed me 3 free oil change coupons.

A week later a friend went and bought a tacoma. They gave him pretty much the same deal. About two weeks after he bought his truck they mailed me a $100 referral check in the mail.

Maybe their parts department sucks. I have only dealt with the internet sales side.

I hate em' too!! I took the OEM roof rack that I bought for $$$$ less on line to have it installed by them and got a written quote when I was dropping it off and then they slapped an extra $15 on the bill. When I questioned that they said it was for extra parts. I supplied all the parts for the install. They start back pedlling and say it was for 'air'. I ask to talk to the Service Manager and he gives some other lame excuses before agreeing to take the $15 off. I then fill out a survey that gets sent to Toyota American headquaters with no response. Has anyone had consistantly good service from any Denver area Toyota stealerships?

They wanted $500 for the bed rail system? Don't all Tacomas have them? What did you get for $32.32 a piece and was $45 MSRP and how does it relate to the $500 price tag? I'm sorry I'm just really confused here... did I miss another discussion?

It's the old stick your head in the sand routine...a bunch of lame questions that do not really capture your satisfaction with the "service experience". All the questions (and answers) do is allow Toyota to stuff their files with a bunch of data to convince themselves of what a great job their stealers do satisfying customers.

Hats off to the people who coined the term "Stealership", there is no term moe accurate that I know of.
Portland is no better , except the parts guy will say " thats what I would do" to my comment of buying online from places recommended here. I did buy the wiper mod part(stalk) from them because they had one in stock at about $12 more..... and he said " wiper mod?".......he might be a member here i dunno.

Yeah I bought my truck use and the previous owner took off the rail system. So I wanted to buy them so I can mount my topper and my dealer wanted $500 an said that the price I found was in heard of and I would buy from there if you can get it at that price and could not explain why they wanted to rip
me off for a $45 part.

The $45 is for the individual tie down cleats. I think the dealer is quoting you on the entire system, as in the rails themselves.

If you need the entire bedrail, $500 is not that unreasonable of a price.
