My tacoma head light low beam not working after installing the ditch light on roof rack. Please help

    My Tacoma 2017 head light low beam did not work after i installed the ditch light on my roof rack. Please advise. thank you

    i wired it into the battery but how come the head light went off.

    Ironman Foamcell 3" lift, ARB dual compressor, GoPro mount, BadElf mount, Drive grab handle, RCI skids, Victory sliders, half rack, TuffStuff Alpha ll RTT, Dometic 75 Fridge, extra USB & Outlets
    My first question and if you’re reply above that is blank, means you did, WHY.

    Extra lights should be wired to a separate circuit to not cause those problems.

    A few things to consider:

    1. Check for any electrical issues inside cab
    - no check engine lights, etc...
    2. Check your other exterior lights (high beams, DRLs, signals, etc.)
    3. Check the three fuses circled below and make sure they didn't blow.
    4. Make sure your battery is still healthy (assuming you still use the original battery?)
    5. Check and see if any other aftermarket parts are still working.
    6. check the bulb


    I have a whole spreadsheet full of common issues (mainly electrical) and ways to troubleshoot / fix / prevent these things from happening.

    Check this thread out of necessary. Its about light failures after installing aftermarket accessories
