Do you have a picture of Valentine V1 hardwire connector you used and where you connected it?

 

I'll get a pic, but i ordered a mounting kit essentially a rearview mirror mount (which i used on my wife's car) and stealth mounting wire that you push the pos and neg wire into the back of the mirror/homelink connection.

Water tank update:

Last weekend I set about to make my own pressurized water tank using 4" ABS pipe. Although I was happy with it I wasn't completely satisfied with the outcome, in particular the fill port was bothering me in that it didn't seem to have a solid connection and worried that over time I would develop air leaks.

So back to Lowe's and I picked up a "T" fitting with a 2" threaded neck. I felt that this connection would be more secure and provide more of a solid air tight fit. Plus it looks a heck of a lot better than version 1.0.

Now I'll let it set for a bit, I ordered some bed rail brackets from @Zac of all trades and some T nuts from Amazon as well as some quick fist and this will be perfect for excursions or a quick wash down after a noon bike ride at work.

For those wondering this holds close to 3 gallons based on the calculator I found online.

Video if it in action, filled with 50 PSI just need to setup compressor to provide constant 50 PSI and I'll be set.

I ordered this LED interior light kit from Amazon for $19.95 comes with vanity lights, dome, map and license plate LED's. Install took maybe 15 minutes and I'm pleased with the results as well as the price.

Got my brackets from @Zac of all trades today so I was obliged to mount my 4" water tube. Drilled out the holes for the quick fist clamps and we're good. Looks perfect mounted to the bed rail.

 

Received my TRS morimoto HID lighting kit today. The kit they sent us top notch. Relays, H11 adapters, ballasts and igniters nicely packaged. Installation is plug-n-play, it actually took me longer to cable manage than it was too plug it in and test fire it.

I got the 35 watt ballast with 5500k bulbs. Took the truck out tonight for a test drive and holy crap the light projection is amazing, nice hotspot in the middle, the distance is so much better now.

Finally able to sell some car parts laying around the garage that needed to go to new homes. Was able to get enough money to buy some Open Country RT 285/70/17 and will be mounting them to my Rotiform SIX-OR wheels. Can't wait to get them mounted these tires look so good.

 

Finally got my wheels and tires mounted. What a huge difference a meatier set of tires do to the overall look of the truck.



As some other TRD Pro owners have stated, I get a slight bit of rubbing on the driver's side rear fender liner where the mud flap is. I'll continue to drive it and monitor it to see how it fairs. I may end up taking a heat gun to it to push it down a bit. I kind of like the stock Toyota mud flaps so I don't want to ditch them just yet.

Bruh...there's so much i want to do but trying to prioritize my build LOL

What I want to do is build a drawer/sleep platform in the bed, but in order to secure that I need a canopy. Then I want switch-pro and lighting to go w/ it.

So many wants so little money

 

Mod process & frequency remains the same, only platform changes, Audi, Porsche, ...Toyota. Love the TW group, lot's of ideas and sharing going on like the Audi boards. Have fun Duan!

Originally, I was thinking of doing a roof rack mounted ABS pipe, but I like that you have attached it to the bed rails...

I've got a Leer cap, so I would have to orient it so the fill was close to the tailgate...other than that, how much weight do you think the bed rails will support?

I want to maximize water storage and am thinking about two 6" diameter x 5' length tanks on each side of the bed...just not sure the bed rail tracks could support that much weight, especially going down some pretty bumpy roads...

Each tank would hold roughly 7 gallons of H2O @ 8.5 lbs/gal...so about 60 pounds....

Do you think the bed rails could withstand that weight?

 

What compressor and how are you planning to set it to be @ constant 50psi? And why 50psi? Also do you use the same compressor for other duties?

(EDIT I just realized an inline regulator maybe? not sure how this would get along with myviair but seems logical.)

With the tank setup I built I used a 15psi sensor to pressurize the tank, It works great. It was an idea I came up with as from what I could find most people just pressurize it to a certain PSI and than run the tank until its low on pressure and re=pressurize but I wanted constant PSI for showering / washing truck/ etc....

Yes, 4'' ABS, Holds a little over 7 gallons if my calculations are correct. Has been priceless.
