    that clear coat has failed completely. if anything gets on your paint, get it off immediately. ANYTHING. food, bird shit, eggs...anything. another reason to use things like optimum opti-seal after a detail, and optimum spray wax after every wash, as it gives you some sort of buffer in terms of time frame before damage becomes terminal.

    anyway, the good thing is the roof is an isolated panel. it's a lone square, essentially, as the front and rear window molding is the front and rear border, and the sides are cut off by the plastic gutters. so, a roof can be taken down and repainted without having to worry whatsoever about having to blend or anything weird. any competant shop can handle that, no problem.
