Finally pulled the trigger and bought my N-Fabs. a late xmas gift to myself. Now the ones I got are SmittyBilt Nfabs. I contacted N-Fab and asked bout these Smittybilt ones and they said they are exactly the same. N-fab actually makes them and Smittybilt just slaps their branding on it and sells it. but they are genuine 100% N-Fabs.

I got mine on 4wheelparts.com for only $250 (thats including tax) I got the gloss black powdercoat 2" main tube. i was gonna go for the 3" maintube but it was a bit more. i got free shipping to a local 4wheel parts store and just picked them up today. I gotta say after i finished installing it, they look damn nice and well worth the money.

This is the label on the box with the part #
    [IMG]

    Box length is long.

They package it really good with bubblewrap and foam blocks
    [IMG]

Getting it set under where it will be mounted.

Since i was working alone, i used a jack to help me.

each side of the n-fab has 6 holes. On the doublecab like mine, use only use 5 of the holes on each step. Thanks to Justin626 for pointing that out in a previous thread.

    Left side installed.

as you can see there is a larger gab between the cab and step with the 2" maintube but still looks good. the very front end where the tube bends does fit up against the cab rather snug if not too snug where over time it will most likely chip the powdercoat.

    Right side installed.

    Right side back view
    [IMG]

As you can see the step pad does have the geniune "N-Fab" logo. trust me when i say the metal step pads on the nfab are way better than those plastic ones. and the grip is sturdy.

it has a torque spec? i didn't even know. in fact mine had no instructions whatsoever. i just tighten them as much as i could without causing damage. locktite sounds like a good idea. the lock washers it came with seem good quality.

i think if you order directly through n-fab.com they do, you just provide a color code for them. but i think their standards gloss black, textured and stainless steel.

well hopefully i didn't do any damage to the threads. i think i tighten them just enough without damage. just hand tightened. besides my click torque wrench broke a month ago so i wouldnt even be able to torque it to specs anyhow. guess a new digital torque wrench is next on the list.
