I went with the FJ case based on it having a manual shifter to get get rid of the actuator set-up on the Tacoma case as well as being able to twin stick it. It was cheaper and stronger than a lefty TC although the lefty is plenty strong. Here is a link to Wyatts write-up with more info and pics http://www.rocksolidtoys.com/forum/showthread.php?t=60

For your truck there is no need to change the TC, you should only have to add a crawlbox. You can twin stick the J-shift case to end up with a set-up like mine. Here is a good link to another one Wyatt did in a first gen.
    http://www.rocksolidtoys.com/forum/showthread.php?t=126

Any way you end up going you won't be disappointed, I really dig having the crawler it opens up a whole new world.

I would go with a lockers first its the best way to get power to the ground. Having twin sticks gives the option of 2 wheel low when needed.

I have been spending a lot of time lately riding bikes so not much has gone on with the truck. A couple of newer pics with the bike.

Hey JW glad to hear you made it to Moab. I wish I could've gone out.

So you sold the ktm because you weren't riding it and now you have what looks like a Yamaha?

Thanks, Adam takes awesome pics I'm sure some others will show up as well.

Sorry you missed it but there is always next year start planning now....

I did pick up a new bike its a TM300EN Italian Made 2 stroke the thing is super trick, a piece of art that performs like a weapon. I have been riding quite a bit since I haven't been working on the truck as much.
    http://www.sortovaracingservices.com/
    Thanks

It was a great trip, I was only there for less than 48 hours and ran Cliffhanger and Greenday. I can't wait to go back when I have more time.

I don't think I pissed anyone off but the size of my tires, crawler and lockers definately made up for some of my poor line selections. I was real pleased with how the truck did and didn't have any broken parts it was a good test to gauge what minor changes I want to make. I'm sure some more pics will be showing up I know I'm hoping they will.

Great pic Bob you can tell how much I like birds....not a whole lot. Although I think that bird was some sort of good luck sign thinking about the fact that we saw only cosmetic damage and no serious breaks on cliffhanger. That trail was a blast I'm looking forward to another trip to Moab.

I have heard a story about Parrots in Moab before but couldn't remember exactly what it was and found this link.
