    I was unaware of the Harrop elocker until Zuk told me about them and after some research really like the way they work and the simplicity compared to ARB. Haven't seen any Tacomas running them but my application would be using a 9.5 Land Cruiser 3rd so I know it would work.

    I have been following the Cruiser Brothers thread on mud and started using Terrain Tamer parts on the 80.

    Thanks for the link, I had seen the rear locker on a 1st gen but that was about it.

    It didn't end up working out and I haven't pursued it since.

    The Expos are holding up just fine, I've actually been eyeing pulling a leaf out to drop my ride height and soften it up a little. My dakars were really flat as well at ride height with the shackle flip the expos have a lot more arch and if remember correctly are longer than the dakars. The expos really raised the rear end on my truck and the look has been bugging me since going back to running a 315/75r16.

    Howdy, I know this is an old thread, but I was curious about how you felt running 315/75/16s on those TRD wheels (which are 7.5 inches wide, I think). I ask because I am on the fence for running 315/70/17 on some stock TRD sport wheels which are also 7.5 inches wide. I've heard some people say not to do it, that the 35s are too wide for the wheel and you could pop them off on the trail. However, it looks like you hit the trail pretty hard, which makes me wonder how true that is.
    I really like the look of the trd sport wheels and don't want to buy new wheels if I don't have too. Any insight would be appreciated.

    King ext travel coilovers, Icon tubular UCA's Rear-King "Tundra" 2.5's, Allpro Expos, TRD cat-back, Hurst/Core short shift kit, etc...
    I wheeled with that wheel/tire combo and I think that narrow wheel actually holds a bead better than a wider wheel. If you go the other way and have a really wide wheel and narrow tire, that has a better chance of losing a bead.

    I consider skinny wheels a poor man's beadlock and have never lost a bead running 8-15 psi depending on conditions. I don't see any issues with running a 315 on a 7.5" wheels we just mounted a set for a buddies FJ80 Land Cruiser and he had the same concerns but got over it after wheeling it the first time.

    Just watch the tire pressure. You won't have to run as high of a pressure on the street with the narrower wheel if you want even wear.
