Had my guy do it but it wasn’t where my standards were, it would’ve confused you more, and he didn’t really explain how he got where he got to, and Clutch cancel in detail, my last page with picture does a much better job, similar to what i posted earlier in post #498. Essentially your going to follow the HKEY video too, with the addition of the Clutch cancel which you can use my color pictured printed guide to do! It’s only one extra wire to tap than the HKEY auto guys have to do!

Please help me understand what part isn’t the clearest, I’d like to address it if possible.

I think most using the videos nail it right away, I know I almost always used a video myself and not written instructions...is that it? We’re trying to solely use the written without watching video? Let me know, I’d like to take some notes here because there are dozens up and running and I haven’t heard from them, ever.

Which video is the HKEY install? The 3 posted on #498 that I see are push-to-start. Are they essentially the same hook-up plus the tpms/clutch cancel?

The 12v solution is a push to start. Does it still have the hkey?

It's exactly that, I tried doing it without videos, just to try it. The instructions with the circles and the X's, the strange ordered step one and two, and the relatively vague programming instructions. If there are more people that want to do it without videos, I think clear instructions with pictures would be best.

Not sure why, but can't open the website to view pricing etc etc.

Maybe because it's a gov network lol?

I will be checking this again in the evening when out of the shop.

I just got my kit in and looked at the instructions and felt the same way as some here have voiced. I'll try to detail some areas where I was confused:

    - On the first page where it shows description... you should clearly indicate that this is a visual of what that area looks like before installation. And it's not obvious whether these are photos of what it looks like before installation or after.

For example, the ignition switch. There's a red arrow pointing to where the ignition switch is, but I only see a keyhole where I go to start my car. No wires. So what am I looking at here in the diagram? It looks like a white connector with 8 wires.

There's an area (1) labeled "BCM". No idea what a BCM is. And do I need to remove that black plastic shield in the foot well by the dead pedal to expose the areas I need to get to? If so, how? Some instructions here would be helpful as not everyone is comfortable just hacking away at their brand new truck and accidentally breaking off tabs, etc.

The OBD-ii connector is the only obvious one since it's exposed in plain sight.

    - Wiring diagram on the next page - Again, not clear what to do here. I see the Evo One box. But where does it go? Where and how do I mount it? There's no included hardware (brackets, screws, etc) or double-sided tape.

    - The programming part (next page) - How do I start? I assume it's without the key in the ignition, but you should clearly indicate so.

I'm going to go attempt this installation now. Wish me luck.

You guys, all of you take a breath. I need you to stop trying to do it off the paper, the video is what I want you all to use please. FYI, the biggest competitor makes you watch the video and doesn’t even include the cut sheet so please, once more I will link it here and it’s linked in the first post of this thread. A lot of you seem like you’re trying to challenge yourself to see who can take the longest to do this, this isn’t our first sale.

So again, put the paper away and use one of THESE links as it applies to you. And for God sakes, read through the link below slowly to find and understand which is your video. If you have a manual, your part number is N2-EO-TOY5-MT-K. There was a glitch that made the first few during the opening of the sale an “EA”. I corrected this on the invoice that came to you. If you have push to start, you really should have no struggle by following this, nor HKEY for that matter, all HKEYS. MT HKEY, read the last page with the four instructions and big pictures to do what HKEY guys did, but you have the Clutch cancel steps!

I know for a fact it’s not hard to read everything below, find the right video, and take 10-15 for the install instead of complaining about a reference sheet. Others have done long before you, so let’s not make it any harder than it needs to! I should’ve maybe mentioned to use the video from the beginning...

Please, go here, follow the video and enjoy your device.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/posts/19347088

P.S. - Push to start is the easiest and quickest install of all of them!

I should put URLs cards for YouTube for this group to link straight to the videos. No documentation. All the things you’re being critical of, just know you get the same with the next biggest company. I didn’t do less or more...you saved a lot of money and got the same thing. From the get go I did want you all to follow the videos! If the 3 of you need phone support, PM and I’ll give you my cell, that is if you are adamant about avoiding the provided links for YouTube videos, because I can assure you would’ve been done by now...

Linking the YouTube videos would definitely make it less confusing for those trying to follow the paper instructions (big dummy like me). But in the end, it was still quick and painless (besides breaking those clips...)

And feel free to PM me suggestions going forward, this thread is getting cluttered. I’d like to keep it slightly cleaner while I hear any opinions.

Thanks for linking the video. In the steps involving turning on/off the ignition, I assume that I'm turning my key to the ACC or ON position?

Ok, if you have a regular key, the connection to the ignition harness is different than what is in the videos.

The videos show a small black 7-pin connector.

Ours is a much bigger white connector.

It is right next to the ignition itself to the right (if you're looking at the ignition). I took a photo below. Mine is a 2019 6MT, for reference.
