    Lol yes this

I have done the tire patch (at a tire shop so the patch is from the inside of the tire ) on many many off road tires (BFG AT and MTs) with zero issue. This was on a dedicated prerunner desert truck with a roll cage so the driving on the patched tire was always balls to the wall intensity. No explosions, lol . I mean we are talking about expensive ass E rated (most of the time) durable ,heavy off road tires here ... not some budget off brand street tires . Get a grip y’all .

This ^^^^^. I ran to the Arctic Ocean and back with three plugs in a K02 in just about the same spot from a run-in I had driving over a nail-filled board from a pallet.

People freak out, but tire plugs are just fine for small holes from screws and nails. No need to do anything else.

have you sprayed the screw area with soapy water yet and wiggled it to see if its even penetrated, that would be my first step...The screw may be way shorter than you think. By the way, I worked at a gas station for years when I was younger, and plugged thousands of tires, but we had really high quality plugs and plug tools. Out of thousands, had very few returns. I had Discount refuse to fix a few of my tires a few years ago, my truck, wifes car, took them to my local independent tire shop, they plugged or patched them no problem, they lasted the life of the tire. If you are going to take it on yourself, you get what you pay for with the plug kits. thats my 2c for the day.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I called Toyota and they wanted $25 for a patch (it was repairable), but Discount Tire did it for me for free. Thank you @Discount Tire !
