I changed the oil yesterday on my 2.7L 4 banger. I'm laying there on my back underneath the engine, and I can see that the forward-most, passenger side of the engine is covered in a thin film of oil. It looks to be coming from an area just above the forward-most freeze plug on the passenger side.

Any ideas? It was dark, so I couldn't take pics.

    Thanks,
    Dave

Without pics it's hard and leaks can be a pain to find. If you can't find the source clean everything and inspect frequently. I've seen leaks that are no where close to where the source is.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
Timing cover, completely wild guess though.

    x3 on the pics
