Nashville Wrench/Weld/Chop/Mod Meet (3/2)

Seems a lot of us Nashville folks need to get some things done.

Let me know your availability either the weekend of Feb 23rd or Mar 2nd.
Then we will decide which weekend to meet based on the most free weekend.

I have a 2 car garage so we could maybe do stuff here, or we can meet at someone else's place so more than one vehicle can be worked on at a time.

 

I'm free weekend of the 23rd, have Nat Guard drill Mar 2-3 so that weekend is out. Absolutely don't work around me, I don't NEED anything, but would be happy to raid my big tool supply if specific things are needed/wanted and I have a tool, and would just be happy to meet and wrench with some of y'all for the first time.

 

I'm a solid maybe for either date honestly. But will try my best to make it because I love camo pants.

I'll bring tools, my SWR meter, and beers. Need help cutting fenders, flares, and CMC.

 

Well with @Kerleyfries out for 2/23 we may not be able to do any kind of welding until later. Right now it's about 50/50 between dates

 

Either or, or both dates are fine for me. Let me know where & I'll be there. I have basic tools and I'm down to help anybody turn wrenches.

There's not a whole lot I'll be doing to my rig for a while, aside from the timing belt/h20 pump and all the other belts and related fluids...but that's not really a "mod day" type of project.

Oh I also need to figure out what's going on with my amp and subwoofer. Not having bass is killing me.

 

available dates are split right down the middle right now. So we may have to do two meets and just have people come to either one. I probably won't be going to the 2/23 weekend meet since I just need welding stuff done.

 

I'm free either weekend, and my place is always available if you need space.

 

that might be a good idea. I don't have a lot of space at my place.

 

What's the story with 2/23. Who is down, what needs to get worked on & where are we meeting up?

Or are we scratching it? I was just planning on coming to lend a hand, nothing I need help on.

I'll be installing my timing belt, h20 pump, all related fluids/belts/pulleys on 3/3 already at a buddies place, so it's this Saturday for me, or not.

 

I won't be able to go to the 2/23 meet, but I'll be at the 3/2 meet. Unless @Kerleyfries backs out. Then I won't go.

 

Dave will be here the 2nd and is good with audio, I’m offering his services. Although he may only agree to fix the system if you let him cut on the truck.

Morning of 2/23 I have an appt to get new tires put on, so if a meet is still happening I can swing by after. I don't need work, so it'll be to help and meet people.

 

Well I was planning on having people come visit the weekend of 3/2 but they all cancelled so I should be free to meet up.

I'm down to cut up the truck. I still need to go get at least one of the new tires mounted so that we have a template to make sure everything clears.

I've got extra clips for the flares, and balance beads, hub rings, and lugs for the wheels and tires. I also have a new amp and subwoofer so we can do some troubleshooting.

We will need to drop the skids to get the sway bar off, and I'll need some help cutting flares, fenders, and cab mount. I don't have plates to weld up over the CMC, but oh well. I should have paint for the fenders/flares. I'll pick up a bunch of painters tape. Anything else?

 

Also I am free this weekend, and I was thinking of doing the amp/subwoofer troubleshooting this weekend if weather permits. So I may end up going to both meet ups. Where is the one this weekend? Should it be moved to Sunday when the weather clears?

Decide amongst yourselves if you should do the meet on Sunday. Weather looks crappy on Sat.... Sunday much better.
