I have a '14 Tacoma and added the factory NAV unit bought from another member here. I installed the included antenna. I'm routinely having no GPS lock and NAV not showing correct position on map. Has anyone else seen these issues? One thing I was wandering is my uint also has the XM sat radio, for Tacomas with sat radio installed is there already a GPS antenna up top with the sat antenna? If so would connecting the small GPS antenna cause a conflict?

I did not use the supplied ant. on mine and works just fine. Where did you plug the extra one into?

There was a connector on the back of the radio for it.

I reused the one already in my truck and had no empty spots that would take another.

Was the one you re-used connected to a small disc that fit under the dash? Or was it a cable coming from the roof?

Ok. I will try disconnecting the "disc" antenna and see if that clears up my issues.

I can't figure how you could plug both in. Please report back if it works and maybe a pic or 2 of the back of the unit.

Figured it out. Original radio harness had the feed coming down from the roof along with sat antenna. When I connected new NAV radio I ignored that original feed and used the supplied antenna. It didn't dawn on me that the original one was actually a GPS antenna cable since my original radio didn't have NAV. I guess when ever Toyota puts a SAT antenna on top they just go ahead and wire in a GPS antenna as well. Everything is good now. GPS locks right up.

That is what I suspected it was. Glad you're good to go now.
