    I've had the TSB done which involved a new SD card. The SD card came with the same version that shipped with my 2014. The nav unit is one of the worst I've seen. The TSB addressed some of the hang and lag issues, but I still have a ton of problems:

    * Random reboots during driving
    * Map had disappeared on me, and upon reappearing, could not locate a previously located address (or any other address)
    Plus day to day design issues - it's impossible to use the voice based system. SYNC, despite its popularity due to MyFordTouch is WAY better IMO.

    My dealership has been no help at all. They were doubtful about the TSB and now they don't respond re: navigation issues. I wonder if the 2016+ Entune that seems so much snappier on videos is any better.

    THIS. ^^^^^ I don't expect the *dealer* to be reasonable, but if *Toyota* was reasonable I'd be happy.

    A NAV is an expensive upgrade, a little support would be nice.

    Audi did the same crap to me with my S4 Avant. It was a DVD based map system :annoyed: that somebody quickly figured out how to copy and share as a torrent. If you went to the Audi, they charged over $300 at the time for an updated DVD Map. :bananadead:

    Has anybody gotten their hands on the SD/micro SD card ? I'd be curios to see what the file structure looks like and/or if its encrypted.

    No some people make a wise decision first so they don't have too complain about it later.
    My Garmin is on a vent mount. Not the window or dash.

    Never received a postcard after all. I will definitely not pay the ridicules price from Toyota. Love my Taco but Sucks that I paid $35000 for my truck with the Navi and get the shaft to get the updates for it.

    I would imagine that map updates for my 2013 are on DVD media. I'd most certainly be willing to chip in on a DVD copy.

    The other thing I was thinking is there shouldn't be a reason that I couldn't pull the HDD out of my headunit and clone it to an SSD.....riiight? The nav et al would sure smoke!

    I did not receive anything from Toyota, but purchased a updated sd card from Amazon or EBay new. Works like a champ. I'll get the info later on.

    Do these things care about the VIN or can they be duped and shared? I'd still need to figure out how to get a DVD version though...

    Being a tightwad and a computer geek, I'd gladly subsidize someone's map purchase for a copy of the SD card content somehow.

    Encrypted or not a sector by sector copy should work.

    Please let us know if that Garmin sdcard works. I will find out the date for the sdcard I purchased and it was on eBay I received it from.
