navigation map update

Just bought one off ebay as well. Did yours update your Entune features as well as the maps?

 

I don't think so. The original owner had it updated before he put the Entune Nav unit on eBay.

 

What Entune features were updated?

 

not sure but i just installed mine, got it off ebay today. audio went to 0101D4 version. mine never prompted to restart unless it did it on its own. i was doing something in my truck's bed, during the update. seemed like it did not take too long. update history, shows a date of 4/18/17. odd because it is 4/17 today. will check maps later. got the 0e184 sd card.

 

Someone be a pal and post the update files!!

 

Its not stealing if you choose to make a "back up copy" and you get "hacked". Hillary got away with it

 

I just purshased the updated map 0E184 from ebay from the above link, took my SD card out which was 0E182 and inserted the new card. Radio recognized it and works great. Now map info reads May of 2016.

I also bought one off EBay. 2nd time I did and works like a champ. May 2016. Also last week my Entune updated when I went to work. Now my Entune connection and Pandora works flawlessly. Before it would work 50% of the time.

 

I updated my Entune Premium Radio, after installing new Map SD Card, Radio went from Ver 0101D4 to 0101D7.

 

This is very interesting... and tempting.

Question then. Mine didn't come with the nav. I bought a unit from another TW member that had it, so mine VIN doesn't register that it came with NAV from the factory, if that makes sense, if I try to "register" my entune stuff for the apps, not that I use them or would want to.

But very interested in the mad thing, for kicks.

I guess what I'm trying to ask here is if anyone knows if that matters or not, if I buy the card from the ebay sellet. Make sense?!

I bought my nav Entune off of eBay. It is a 2015 installed in a 2014 Tacoma. The map SD card does not care.

Second this. Tried the mega link but crapped out at 29%

 

I'm going to see what my dealer will do. I've known them for over 15 years and used to work there.

 

For those that don't care about updating the maps but do want to update the radio, this is what I did.

I have a 2013 jbl with a 2015 jbl entune installed and 86271-OE182 sdcard.

1. Made an image of the sdcard as backup. Used win32 disk imager.
2. Downloaded the root files and the pana folder from the mega link posted earlier.
3. Deleted the root files on the sdcard and copied over the root files from mega.
4. Deleted the file in the pana folder and copied over the files from the pana folder from mega.
5. Inserted sdcard into radio and successfully updated to v. 010D4

 

Nav card will arrive sometime this week. Will see if I can clone it.

 

I'd be willing to contribute to you and your "cause" if you are able to do it, and it can be put on either the existing SC card that's in the unit now, or a new one. I'll gladly pay you some $$
