Got all the windows tinted. Llumar ceramic tint. 15% on all the windows and the windshield is 50%. 3rd vehicle I’ve gotten this tint setup for and love it. Wife’s 4Runner is next!

This morning I added the Runnin4Tacos LED bed lights. Super easy install and a very nice product.

Picked up some Predator steps on marketplace. These are a temporary place holder until I save up for some sliders.

Today I installed the OEM power tailgate lock. Sucks it just doesn’t come standard but it’s a pretty easy install.

I finished it off with a Mountain Hatch panel. I had one a couple years ago and it seemed to be little more well finished in regards to the logo and the cut outs. But the overall fit and finish of the panel is good so I’m not too worried about it. Definitely prefer it over the OEM panel

Awesome truck, easily my favorite Tacoma color now. Also this photo shows how nice the blackout sequential mirror lights look, nice touch.

Finally had the big day. Got the Westcott Designs TRD Pro lift kit installed with SCS F5’s and the new Toyo Open Country R/T Trail Tires. Super happy with the outcome. Here are some thoughts…

    Ride Quality
    - It is definitely a stiffer ride but I don’t think in a bad way. Between the lift and the load range E tires it was to be expected. Overall I am very happy

    Angles
    - I was a little worried at first but I’m not too concerned with how they look. CV’s are better than I thought they would be. I’m not crazy about the UCA angle, but I’m not too worried about it right now.

    Wheels and Tires
    - SCS F5 16x8 -25 offset and 3.5 backspacing
    - Toyo Open Country R/T Trail 285/75R16 E load
    - The tires do ride very nice on the road so far. very smooth. They do however, have a bit more road noise than I was expecting. Definitely not to the level of mud terrains but also noticably louder than my wifes Open Country AT3's.

    Rubbing
    - I have only been to home and work since the everything has been installed and the only spot I have rubbed is the front driver side fender in reverse full lock. I will absolutely be doing some trimming and cutting though because I know once there is any kind of off-roading and compression there will be a lot more.

    Measurements
    - With the new wheels being a fairly aggressive offset, it was very difficult to get an accurate measurement from the center of the hub without it turning into a lot of guessing. Because of that, I measured from the ground to fender as well. PLEASE keep in mind that I did the best I could to eyeball these measurements so they may not be exact…
    -Before
    - Driver side front center of hub to fender (ground to fender) - 21 3/4 (35 7/8)
    - Pass side front center of hub to fender (ground to fender) - 21 7/8 (35 7/8)
    - Driver side rear center of hub to fender (ground to fender) - 22 5/8 (36 7/8)
    - Pass side rear center of hub to fender (ground to fender) - 22 7/8 (37 1/8)
    -After
    - Driver side front center of hub to fender (ground to fender) - 23 3/4 (38 7/8)
    - Pass side front center of hub to fender (ground to fender) - 23 3/4 (38 7/8)
    - Driver side rear center of hub to fender (ground to fender) - 23 3/4 (38 5/8)
    - Pass side rear center of hub to fender (ground to fender) - 23 7/8 (38 7/8)

Overall, I am very happy with how everything turned out. I may eventually swap the Westcott rear block out for an AAL to get just a tad more height in the rear. I think it looks great now but if any weight gets put in the bed it will be squatting a touch. Hope this info was helpful to anyone they may have been wondering about the Westcott Designs kit.

Looks fantastic. I’d love to get the kit installed once I get my truck next month but the cost might be an issue first when I get it. Keep posting love what you’re doing with the truck.

Yeah I’ve checked it out between the Canadian Exchange rate and shipping I think it was going to run me between $800-$900 just for the kit in CDN dollars

Ah damn.. yeah thats unfortunate. If you do get it, you can try different Tacoma parts online stores that you havent purchased from before and you'll get 20% off your first order. We got my wife's Westcott kit from Runnin4Tacos and I got mine from TacoVinyl and we got both for 20% off .

Came across a guy on marketplace that sells seat pulls for the rear seats in the Tacomas. Not be any means a necessary thing I needed to add but he had red ones and thought it might add a little something to the interior to help make it feel a little a little more special. The TRD Pro is still a little plain on the inside aside from the front headrests and the red stitching. Anyways… here they are. Again, definitely didn’t need them but got them hahaD2435412-94F2-4C1C-B8A8-56C59C8309F9.jpg F897AE97-3052-450C-A88F-F54282F4539C.jpg D451AE89-3B9E-4919-BEDA-DEC03063086F.jpg 2B7F5DA2-26AD-44D4-B4F9-0AFC8B32E9E1.jpg

Just got the truck back from getting ceramic coated. Crazy how much it shines under the lights. Got a snap of wifey’s Trail Edition 4Runner next to the truck.
