Our Grocery stores around here are (in order of personal preference) Publix, Kroger, Ingles, Food Lion, and some small ones that I would never set foot in such as Piggly Wiggly.

 

And a bunch of other random shit too.

And I believe that double layer heat shrink tube is available at most Radio Shacks.
That's where I got mine last.

Funny- I used to work at Fry's Food and Drug (Owned by Kroger and known as Kroger or Albertson's in most of the country). They actually have both Fry's Food and Drug and Fry's Electronics in AZ.

 

i like using Quick Splice connectors. never had a problem with them
