    2017 Tacoma TRD Off Road
    Greetings all,
New tacoma owner here, wife and I just purchased a 2017 TRD Off Road. Traded in our Jeep wrangler unlimited and we are absolutely in love! Both originally from Nebraska now living in New Mexico as I am in the Air Force. Running all stock for now but plans for a small lift wheels and tires probably.

Looking at purchasing a camper\topper first for our dogs so i would appreciate any guidance or suggestions on them as well as pictures on your 3rd gens!

Looking forward to a long Toyota life!

    God bless!IMG_20170114_112404_590.jpg

I ended up with a leer topper. I also have a dog that goes back there every now and then along with myself for sleeping occasionally. Not a great pic of the shell but best I can do now.

Love the look! What model is that? And what did that cost you? If you don't mind my asking!

Its an XL. XL has 'crank out' rear windows for ventilation. The XR has slide rear windows. I had an XR in my 2008 Tacoma and I liked it and it would work and look fine for this truck but wanted to try something different. Plus the sliding window was hard to open unless you crawled into the truck to do it. (didn't open it much anyway). The 'XL' was I believe 150.00 extra over the XR.

Price was right around 1800... I was also able to get it carpeted on the inside for free, due to black Friday sale. (paid for it one way or another I'm sure)
