    None.......yet....
Its been over a year and a half since it happen. My car owning history is a 88' honda prelude 2.0si and a 2005 trd prerunner. My plans was to pay it off then go for a long travel suspention. Now I'm trying to do research on were to find possibly a crate engine. I have found some but with 89k or 49k and both in the 1800 to 2100 price range. So far my engine with 149k has a busted timing chain. That's as far as I have put my hands into the engine since I have never rebuilt an engine. I've been told after parts, machine shop work, and labor it be about the same as to buy and swap the engine....so it been too long since I have driven my truck but I am close to saving up enough money to do something.......now that I found fellow tacoma owners......can I get a little advice?!

I dont hear talk about engine swaps all that much around here - probably because they dont like to die - but I'd love to see where this goes if you do find an engine. Good luck!

A member in Calgary hydrolocked his engine and found a new one to swap it. Keep your eye on salvage yards (reputable salvage yards), E-bay or you might get lucky and find one for sale on here. If you're not well versed mechanically, have someone who is check over any engine before you buy it!
