    Ok, that strut set-up looks weird. I've only ever worked on trucks with IFS front suspension with coilovers, and solid axle rears.

    Seriously, that picture confuses the shit out of me..

    Both of the pictures KPT posted are independent front suspension set ups. One has upper control arms, lower control arms and then the shock and coilover assembly controls the ride. This is the exact set up we have on the Tacoma which is why KPT said the Tacomas do not have struts.

    The bottom picture only has a lower control arm and the strut and coil act as the upper control arm, shock and coil all in one. You'd see a strut set-up like that on a smaller car or I had that same set up on a Polaris ATV a while back.
