Need advice on trailer tow build up

    Is there someone out there that can give me advice on what to do to build up my 03 Taco to get it ready to pull a small rv trailer. Shocks, heavier duty clutch, brands, other? Thanks andy

    Not really sure what truck you even have first off, Pre-runners and double cabs never came with a 5 speed and clutch so.....

    If you have a true double cab automatic pre-runner then obviously just a transmission cooler is needed as far as the drive line goes.

    Heavier duty stiffer shocks are a must as the ass end will sag from tongue weight alone.

    You can buy air bags that maintain the ride height and keep it level under load.

    Wire harness from uhaul or similar is required as well as a hitch and ball that can tow the amount you need.

    Upgrade your brake lines to steel braided and get heavy duty pads.
