Can you exhaust experts help me determine which size exhaust tip will fit my 2010 TRD Sport 4.0v6? Im confused because the end of the pipe is larger than the pipe.
( the pipe is 2.25" and the end of the pipe is 2.5"?) so, would the inlet for the tip would need to bigger than 2.5" , Or would the 2.5" inlet of the tip just squeeze over the top of the stock 2.5?)
These dimensions are for a bolt on style to secure it.
Just let me know which number would fit best!
    thanks in advance.
    My 4 choices are:

    1. 3 ½" Inlet," 4" Outlet x 10" Length, will fit 2 ½" to 3 ¼" pipe

    2. 2 ½" Inlet, 4" Outlet x 9" Length, will fit 1 ½" to 2 1/2" pipe

    3. 2 3/4" Inlet, 3 ½" Outlet x 8" Length, will fit 1 ½" to 2 3/4" pipe

    4. 3" x 7" , will fit 1 3/4" to 2 1/2"

Had tons on the old Taco's.... new Tundra is pretty stock
I think you need #1 on your list. iirc the piping is 2.5", then flared to something like 3" at the tip so you need an exhaust tip that fits over a 3" pipe. sorry I cant help more, ive got an aftermarket exhaust now. Go grab a tape measure and just measure it to be sure.

I just measured the pipe with a tape measure and I was right about the stock size- 2.25" and increases at the tip to 2.5"
so would the inlet of the tip need to be 2.75" or greater?
So Chris, i think you are right again...

If its 2.5 ( measured as outside diameter) at tip need to buy one with 2.5 inch inside diameter for a perfect fit.

actually, Im not interested in the Valor tip from Toyota, but thanks for the suggestions.

so do you think that the #2 option will work?

I was looking for this information also. I've been too busy shoveling snow to measure.

One other question, anyone know where a two outlet exhaust tailpipe for a Tacoma can be found? I've seen it pictures but have not been able to find one. As I remember it, the two outlets are parallel to the street. They are aligned one in front of the other, and they both have a bologna cut on the outlet opening. Thanks.

Check out the photo in my gallery of the MONZA exhaust tip I put on my tacoma.

My borla tip rotted out on my borla cat-back system so I cut the borla tip off of the tail pipe and added this Monz Big Bore tip....
