I have a 2001 Tacoma 4x4 double cab. I currently have BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A tires (275/70 R16). These tires were on it when I bought it. I like the way they look and feel, but at $200/each I can't get the 4 new ones I need. Does anyone have any ideas on other good tires I might look into that are a bit more affordable? I do mostly in town and hwy driving, but also some fishing/camping/playin', etc. Any help will be appreciated.

Check out the General AT2, they look almost identical at about 1/2 the price. Not sure how long General's last but the look pretty good when compared to the BFG.

I've got Yokohama Geolander ATS. They ride smoother than the BFG and don't look bad either. Also much cheaper...just over 100 on most websites. They have handled great in rain, snow, and the occasional romp through the cow field. Can't say I've done any serious offroadin. Check out my pic
