Hey guys im new to this forum so please help me. I got a 1999 single cab tacoma 5 lug stick shift. Whats the biggest size tire i can run without rubbing or very very little rub i have found some nice rubicon stock take-offs their 255/70/17 but dont know if they will fit.

have you installed the tires and wheels yet? Pics. The only thing I see out there for a lift is a small 1.5" front spring spacer. I'm hearing anything larger would cause havoc with the alignment. I just pick up some 235 x 70r 15" for my 99 single cab 5 lug. on order is a spring spacer. Some one must have another taller solution. I would sure be nice if we could bolt up a 4x4 strut and spring and gain a few more inches of travel.

fabtech 3" spindles, icon aal, 10" bilstein 7100 rear shocks, daystar coil spacers, AFE Pro Dry-s drop in filter, sony head unit, 2 12" pioneer subs, pioneer 6.5s all around, custom 1.25 lift shackles, custom lower ball joint brackets fabbed by me
thats a 31" tire. to clear that you need a minimum of a 3 inch lift. spindles would be your best bet. lift these trucks via coil they will break. good luck

Joel- thanks for the info, nice build up. Yeah, our 99 five lug is a father son project. once the $'s show up i'll pick up some spindles, looks like we will need at least 400 for the spindles. Right? then shocks, any other costly items? Just an add a leaf in the right?

Couple shocks, some old tires, and a bad paint job
If you're interested, I may be able to track down some old lift coils from Fabtech for you and get them shipped at a fair price.

I'm all ears, would these coils work with our 99 5 lug? I'm in Cali too so shipping shouldn't be to bad. Thanks Much.
