There are these 2 lines next to my fuse box that are leaking fluid. I realized it when I was replacing my away bar bushings because there is a film of fluid over my suspension on the drivers side. Found these 2 lines that seem to be the culprit. Can anybody identify these? Thanks

Breathers for the Front Differential and ADD Actuator, have you checked the fluid in the front diff?

I changed the diff fluid a few months ago. If the breathers are leaking would that mean it’s overfilled?

It's kinda hard to overfill it since the fill plug is also the check plug but I know some people have put a deifferent oil than originally specified in it and it tends to push it out the breather.
@TnShooter has had it happen after doing the ECGS bushing and using the higher weight oil specified by ECGS.

Interesting.. not sure why it decided to start leaking or what it means. Since you replied I found another thread of someone claiming it could be from cold days and short trips. I, as well as the other guy, live in Colorado and I do short trips to get to work mostly. Could be that, would like for it to stop but I’m not sure what I should do or if I should even worry. I used specified 75w90 last time I did diff fluids

I'm not really sure what causes it (maybe driving alot in 4wd?) but it doesn't seem to be uncommon, I seem to recall somone modding the vent to keep it from leaking while still allowing it to vent but I don't recall the details.

Was the truck parked level when you filled the diff?

Thanks for your help. I guess I will change the fluid pretty soon and see what happens. If it’s superficial I don’t feel the need to do anything about it really.

Yes it was level. I have since changed out my front suspension and I didn’t notice any leaking back then (September). We had a cold winter here and I take short trips to work often.

I cant really imagine that being the cause. But maybe?

Would be easy enough to pop the fill plug out and check. See if the level is too high or if the oil looks funny, like something was entering the diff and contaminating it

    Yeap. Sure did.
85w-140 and started just when the outside temps dropped.
