I ran a scan and had no codes
checked all the fuses and ignition switch
battery is at 12.6V (so fully charged)
I tried my spare key also( same effect)
    connectors are all tight

I just got home and my wife moved the truck so we could park her car in the garage and it moved but she told me that it didn't start very easily and it took awhile. So about 45 min later I was going to leave and when I did the truck wouldn't start. The Starter is clicking and no CEL's are on. The Brake pedal is extremely hard though and when I press it, it turns the radio off it's fricken weird. My headlights and fogs also have a strobe effect. The only electrical mods I have are HID's and they've been on for over 1 1/2 years and they still work so i'm sure they have nothing to do with it.

Thanks in advance I searched this problem and nothing came up. Figures

    Sounds like the battery because:

    -Starter is clicking
-12.6v is actually a little low
    -Radio dims

Try boosting it and see if it starts. Is it turning over?

Put your meter directly on the battery posts (not on the clamps). Have your wife turn the key to start and watch the voltage on the meter. If it drops below 11volts or so, you need a battery for sure. If it stays stable, try the same thing with meter on the clamps to check for bad battery connections.

Sounds like a battery problem. You can always take the battery to Autozone and have them test it. Your truck is an 06 and if that is the original battery then it's about time to replace it.

If you have an '06 and have never changed the battery then I'd say that this may indeed be the culprit. I have an '06 and it's time to start looking for a battery too as, in my experience, 4-5 years is about all they last.

Thanks guys I don't know what it is but I got it to turn over and finally start and RUN, but we'll see for how long. I used my wife's key again and this time I pulled the MAF off and dust came out of it and while in the ON position I primed the gas pedal and while turning it over I just put my foot to the floor and it started. My wife said there was a huge puff of white smoke and a lot of water out of the tailpipe. Also the tailpipe doesn't smell like gas like normal I have always run 92/93 when available not in Hawaii but I filled up at the Navy Exchange 92 octane and well that's my best guess is just plain ol' sh!tty gas. It starts after I shut it down now also i'm going to go put some HEET in it now just in case. Thanks though.
