    Well, leaving an empty slot would just that. One Fuse (bottom) for original circuit your tapping into, the other slot (top) to the circuit your adding.

    Right, but from what I read above is that he didn't add two. If you were going to avoid redoing everything I think what I suggested would be worth a try even if it defy's logic.
