That's when it usually happens too, I would rather have the fogginess in the back rather than the front

That's what he said. Cold air conditioned air in the cab hitting the windshield.

Try starting the AC on your feet until all the hot air is out of the cab, leave the windows cracked for a minute, then roll em up and put AC on the vents too

I've only had my Tacoma for a couple of months, so I'm still getting used to things. I agree that it becomes annoying at times clearing the condensate from the windshield, but a small price to pay to stay comfortable I suppose.

As I said, the Tacoma is new to me, so I'm learning the quirks. It could be that the blend door for the AC/Heater isn't closing right allowing cool/cold air to get through to the Defog/frost supply lines so when you have it on floor/cabin, it still fogs up the windshield. Try cooling off the cabin and then dial back on the temp - maybe this will eliminate/reduce the condensate from building.

    Yes.... and....????

The AC is the reason that there is a temperature differential between the interior and exterior.

Cold air inside, hot humid air outside = condensation on the outside.

Cold air outside, cold defroster inside = no condensation.

Cold air outside, hot dry air inside = no condensation.

Cold air outside, hot humid air inside = condensation on the inside.

I'll give that a shot again, I have tried to open the windows I bit, it goes away but it comes as soon as I close them. I just wished there was something I could put on it to make it stop

I mean I understand that but why does it just happen on selected tacos, ie. mine not my buddies nor most other people. I'm really thinking on going with safeguard but it's expensive

I really think you've got a bad seal on your blend door.

Make sure your vent control is set to 8:00, put the fan on high, and feel around the floor, dash, and windshield vents. You should only have significant airflow from the dash vents.

If you're getting flow from the windshield vent, you've got a blend door seal that's bad, or the door is not operating properly.

Ok I'll check that how would I fix it if it is that? Is there an easy solution for that?

    Not exactly easy.

The replacement part (if it's just a seal) won't be expensive, but if the blend door is where I'm afraid it is, the whole dash needs to be removed to get to it, not unlike a heater core replacement.

It's condensation. Keep the cold air from blowing onto that area of the windshield and it won't happen. End of issue.

Yeah. Don't use the AC with the vent setting on defrost.
