I have camburg uca's with zerk fittings. One of the zerk tops broke off and now I can't get the threads from the zerk fitting out of the uca. I tried to drill out but I don't want to mess up the arm. Does anyone in san francisco have a set of easy-outs I could borrow to see if they would work? Or is anyone willing to help me get the threads out?

Any other suggestions would be helpful also. Thanks!!!!

    Just a couple things
Same thing happened to me when I did my total chaos arms. I ended up retapping one size up and throwing a new zerk in. Mine snapped right off. I got a kit from oreillys for like 30 bucks. I just drilled out as much as I could and retapped. When you install again make sure you go slow and back it out every now and then to make sure everything is kosher. Hope this helps. You can do it!

'sposed to chase the thread on a new uca, and thread the zerk in till tight, not crank it all the way in. i chased the threads with a 1/4 28 tap, removes excess powder coat.
when you retap, use cutting oil, advance and retreat till you have a smooth thread

i've used a dremel to cut a slot in one and turned it out with a flat head screwdriver..but it was under very little tension.

Lol x2, when I did this with my TC UCAs the end of the zerk twisted out with my finger tip. Probably got lucky on that one though.

When i was taking off my rear shocks the upper bolt, the one that is impossible to get to without the bed removed, sheard off, i just laid there for 5 min yelling at myself. Then i reach up to see how deep it was, and it turned, absolutely love when that happens sadly they rarely ever come out so easily at least for me lol.

BTWyou ever find anywhere around here to flex the suspension? I got new tires and really don't feel like tearing the leafs appart

Lol yea it's definitely rare for that to happen. I did find one spot but not sure how legal it is, in the fort funston parking lot there are a lot of little concrete ramps/things you can drive up on. I flexed out there once and keep meaning to go back but am always too lazy haha..

Eh so long as you do it when it's not super crowded you'd prolly be fine, I didn't stay for long though like 15-20 mins of flexing and I left. Thing id be more worried about is the park rangers, but they don't drive around there too often.. It's not like your damaging anything though your just driving on it a little haha. Also the sloat beach parking lot has a lot of decent sized rocks you could drive on.

Edit: sorry for the thread jack haha..

I've done a mod or two
I've done the 'ol illegal flex-a-roo too. I was headed to a summer road (dirt roads they only maintain when the weather is nice) during winter and there is an area where four separate train tracks crossed and just on the other side one of the railroad companies had a giant pile of rocks that they were using to cover the center sections of some tracks. I just threw it into 4 low and went up it as far as I could.

When I had finished and was backing down, one of the railroad maintenance guys had pulled up beside me and gave me the thumbs up, so I guess they weren't really pissed about it.
