So I'm installing some surface mount down lights in my basement and want to convert from the xenon that's in them currently and fab up some 3w g8 base leds.

I've done work with DC before just not so much AC.

It's configured right now from my power souce (120v) to a distribution block to (6) individual down lights.

They're two pole connectors (standard wall socket) so I was thinking of installing a converter (either fabbed or pre-made) on the front side of the distribution block and then using the pre-existing wiring to carry the load.

I want it to keep it dimable which is the part I'm having some difficulty with.

It is already equipped with a touch style dimmer and would love to be able to keep that function because it's going to be used as an all purpose room.

This is the light set that I purchased:

Any input on what I should go about doing here?

    Thanks in advance.
