Here's my 1999.5 Tacoma. I see a lift in her future but with so many options, my head is swimming. It's going to be a daily driver with very rare, light trail use. My thoughts are a very small lift with Bilstein 5100's front and back with original front coils and either add-a-leaf or a full leaf pack. With such a short lift, would I need to drop the transfer case? What about shackles?

    I value your suggestions.

Falken Rocky Mountain AT 265/75/16 They have been on there since before the lift. I will have to be getting some new tires in the near future. I am not sure if I will be staying with the same size, or maybe go a little skinnier. Something definitely lighter in weight though.
Here's a picture as it is now. My daughter took the shell for her '04 Tacoma.

That's a great looking lift! So that's just with the OME kit? With such a mild lift I assume you didn't have to drop the transfer case, extend the brake lines or or replace any hardware?

Nope. Nothing. That's why I just the small lift. I didn't want to have to do anything extra or worry about other things down the road associated with doing a 3+ inch lift.

I don't do tons of off-road and it's my daily driver. So there was no need to get anything more than a 2" lift.

Not sure what you mean by dropping the t case but as long as you stay under 3" youl be fine. The ome is a complete kit and should come with everything you need. You have a choice of what coil you want if you want the front end to sit a little higher than one he posted above

The OME complete looks nice. The website said that particular kit is not compatible with my year model. I believe I'll need the 95-97 kit.

    95-97s have shorter leafs.
