Hi all, I have a 05 tacoma 4x4 with original wheel, tires and KYB shocks, I need to know if a good idea to lift,,, 3" front (aal or block) in rear and 1.50 spacers in each wheel. My primary ride is in normal road and sometimes rocks, mountains. Any idea is welcome. thanks Hector, Puerto Rico

    Welcome to TW, Hector!

To lift 3", I'd recommend the OME complete kit (everything for front and rear) for a full 3", and that will run you $700 USD, or you could go with Bilstein 5100 adjustable shocks for 2.5" of lift, and those will run you $300 for a complete set of shocks from Downsouth Motosports. Stay away from spacer lifts because of a harsh ride from what I've been told, and stick with an AAL for the rear.

I'd stray away from 1.5" wheel spacers, but if you must run them, I'd highly recommend Spidertrax 1.25" spacers over all others.

Hello. I was looking for threads regarding puerto Rico and found this one. Lucky for me I also had a question about lifting my taco. Does the 5100 lift require aal or is it just the shocks? If you don't use aal is the truck level or does aal create rake? Thank you

Mods are currently being changed .....

No aal required. The 5100s are adjustable up front, so you can level out the truck. Its shocks only.
