First step is to not be like every other bro out there and slap black wheels on it.

    1. Making sure maintenance is up to date! Nothing is pretty sitting on the side of the road.
    2. To each their own, look around on here for ideas on making it pretty and make it your own, don’t listen to what everyone thinks you should do to it. Do what you want!

I like it the way it looks now.

Seriously, drive it a while first. Look at a lot of pics on here and you'll arrive at what you want to change.

But, try to know where you want to end up before you start making the first changes. Basically, don't end up with a "tweener": half mall crawler, half off-roader. You'll be hesitant to drive it in the woods and yet it won't be a show truck. Professional paint is probable about the most expensive thing you could do, but again, then you end up not wanting to use it as a truck. First maintenance, then FR/RR susp improvements (w/1-3" lift), tires (31-33") and wheels (watch the offset), exhaust (w & w/o header(s)), FR/RR bumpers, camping setups (RTTs),...depending on how much you want to spend.

X2 on this. Maintenance first. Don’t spend a bunch of money on mods and then not have the cash to fix the necessities. If you want to do something, wash, buff, polish and paint sealant. Make it shine.

I have never seen black wheel set ups that look good in any circumstance.

    debate me.

I do eventually want to get a lift and some bigger tires, I like the look of the wheels though with the paint I’d maybe go with something similar to them

"yes, I'd like wheels that make it look like I don't have wheels."

Wheels and tires check Amazon Led bar in bumper, ditch lights, rock sliders, flush mount leds in rear they make it 100 times easier to see backing up in the woods, I’ve always wanted to put some kind of light in the bed rails that has a switch so I can see in the bed, check your frame mines been patched by po now it has a rust spot by front leaf spring bracket. I swear one day I’m going to clean the inside frame up the best I can and fill it with cosmoline. I also plan to do a leveling kit and raptor lining it matching color

I was poking fun at the ridiculous black wheel fad. We are in total agreement, sir.

I thought a lightbar and maxtrax were the first step.

But, as far as having "pretty" car, go get yourself a pink Mustang or something. This is a 20+ year old pick up truck. You're obviously already using it off road, for which it was intended. Keep doing that.

As long as your maintenance is all up to date and your frame is rust free, do whatever you like to it. If the paint on the hood bothers you, a cheap option would be to sand it down and paint it black with bed liner or plastidip. Or do a vinyl wrap on it.

in other words, make it like everyone else's. lol
