Hey all. I have a 2007 and I just got it lifted. I got a 6inch BDS with 20 inch rims and 35 inch tires. I know the rims are off set but I'm not sure the numbers. And come to find out they lied to me saying I needed 20s BC of the lifted. Which I never even wanted 20s, I thought they knew what they were talking about! Nope, they lied to me! They said BDS recommended 20s with 35s.
Now here is my problem, I cant make hard turns BC the tires rub and I also know I need to mold the fenders more but when I do turn hard it will make a really loud noise. I don't know if it's bc it is hitting or what. I have taken my truck back a few times already and they keep screwing me over and saying its fine. It's not fine at all. Does anyone who has around the same year as me have this problem with their truck and what did you do? I need to have something to say to them when I take it back.

    Thank you!

Well you answered it already, your tires are rubbing. Is that what you mean? Or is there another noise?

There is another noise, I know what tires sound like when they are rubbing. It sounds like metal...

Is it always at full lock no matter what? Or just when going over bumps? or reverse? or cornering hard?

Sorry about the 20s...I really don't think you need 20s, that's probably just the tire size they had in stock or something.

If you aren't happy with it, take it back to them and tell them you want it fixed. Make them sit in the truck with you and make that sound. If they say nothing is wrong take it somewhere else and get their opinion. If it's because of the wheels they talked you into getting, you should make them swap em out with something you actually like. I'm not much help, as I don't know much about the lift setup you have...that's just what I would do. And I would do it fast.

Yeah absolutely do not wait around. The longer you wait, the more likely they will be to leave you high and dry.

I've never heard of anyone pushing 20s before. They probably just needed to move the wheels or tires you bought. Although, I got an estimate at a tire shop and they really pushed 17s because they said it would look better (as if I couldn't decide for myself). Tires for 17s are more expensive than for 16s...maybe it was something like that.

Is it possible that the wheel is hitting something??

Sounds like your sway bar is rubbing with the coils. Mine does the exact same thing when making a hard turn. The simple fix would be a sway bar relocate kit. They run around $40 from Toytec. I've had my truck 5 years and I just figured out the issue from reading the threads here. Haven't ordered the kit yet but I will soon.

Seems lifting the front in brings the sway in or the coils out. Also available from Toytec are these clamps for the sway bar to keep it from pulling to one side.
