My truck has been having problem with the abs actuator, it has this annoying buzzing/vibration in the pedal every 3rd or 4th time I press on the brake. When you open up the hood it's more noticeable. I took it in to the dealer and they said it's 100% normal which I know it's not not because it never did that. The squishy sound yes but not the buzzing/vibration. So... the tech said they need to find another 2013,14,or 15 to compare with mine so they can determine if it's normal or not. Thanks in advance. I'm located in socal.

The dealer doesn't have any on the lot? You should try another dealer if they're gonna hassle you like that.

It's loud. Sounds like I have a phone vibrating on the floor board.

My 2015 has the squishy sound but nothing like the rest of your symptoms. I am out of state, so not much help. Good luck with a fix. Are you using stock wheels, have a lift or anything?

Are you taking this to a Toyota dealer?

I'd be really scared if they were so uneducated on their own vehicles that they wanted another truck to "compare" to before they decide whether this noise is "normal" or not.

Yea Toyota. I took the tech out for a test drive to show him that this happens in P,R,N,D,4x4. I popped open the hood so he can see the acuator vibrate/buzz when the brake is circulated every 3rd or 4th time....long story short I picked up my truck and advisor said they don't think there's an issue with my brake system but they need to find a truck with same system to compare

Meanwhile... I hope your brakes don't fail and cause a crash.

In my opinion it is the electronic booster pump. They should just replace it. It is normal for it to run when you apply the brakes, but it shouldn't be doing enough to feel a vibration in the floorboard.

My 15 does not make the sound you are describing, if that helps you at all....

I agree that's a shitty answer from the dealership.
