So I came out of my college classes today, to find a some pos car literally touching my rubber hitch cap. There was no damage done, thanks to having the rear lifted. Just so happens, the owner and his 2 friends were walking over, as I was inspecting it. (One of my biggest pet peeves is people that drive junk, and do not respect other's "nice" vehicles) I simply told him he needed to pay attention, some people care about their trucks... however, probably not in the nicest way, but nothing drastic. So the driver gets in the car, passenger 1 gets in my face.. I let him know I'm not scared of him, and he gets in the car. Next passenger 2 gets in my face and is going to "knock my head off". I also let him know he can attempt to if he wishes. After I don't back down, he gets in the car and they take off..

So now, since we're both students at a small college, and my truck sticks out big time in the parking lot.. I'm worried they'll do something to it, because they were in quite a rage(flatten tires, key it etc).. The truck means the world to me, and would freak if something happen to it. So, any suggestions of what to do, or just to forget it would be great. (I did get his license plate #, just in case)

Get an alarm with the remote that lets you know if it's been touched?

See if your school has cameras?

I don't think they have cameras, would be nice though. I was debating letting security know, to keep an eye out.. But then if they say anything, it may cause it to spiral out of control.. Then i end up in prison after they touch my truck..

Take pics of his license plate next time you see his car. Does your school have Campus Security? Maybe you can get them to be on the lookout or something.

    Run over his car? :D

No, but seriously if its possible I would drive a different vehicle to school for the next week or two. They will forget about it by then and hopefully nothing happens to your truck. It would kill me if something bad happened to mine because of some retard other than myself.

Don't worry too much about it, afterall...that's what insurance is for.

If something happens to your truck, you can't prove who did it unless you have (or the school has) video surveillance or you have witnesses.

Just 'watch your back' when you arrive & leave from school in case those knuckle-heads wanna cause you physical harm. Keep an eye out for their car, if its in the same parking lot or nearbye when you get there/leave.

Ultimately, safetly for YOU (the truck can be fixed).

But seriously, I wouldn't worry about it. They were just some punks tryin to act like they were cool. The fact that they didn't do anything and there were 3 of them means they were pussies.

    x2.

I would make sure I wrote his plate down and gave it to the school security and let them know of the incident.

Viper makes a good alarm. It has a separate fob that gives you a code if someone even gets near the car or tries to mess with it.

My friend has one for his motorcycle. I tried to move it one day to get my car out of his driveway and he came running out because the fob said someone got near it, and lifted it (off the side stand).

If you are really concerned, park the truck in the back part of the lot.

Yeah, and exactly the type of little bitches to do something to your truck behind your back cause they can't face you in person. I'd just keep an eye on your truck for a while. More than likely they won't do anything but just keep an eye out for their car and avoid them. They'll forget about it.

i know if i was in that situation where i live, it would be some redneck kids and they would intentionally park like that to try to piss me off. i know a few guys at school who do that and have had a few cars run in to the ball and destroy the cars bumper and sometimes the radiator.

I feel the same way about my truck and I have had very similar situations as you. I am extremely outspoken and if you could hurt my baby(truck) I will let you know. I do not care how bad I piss you off. But honestly there is nothing you can do. If someone wants to key your truck or hit it then they will figure out a way. Just in case I keep a crowbar in my truck, that way if I can catch the shits they will get hit lol :D. But honestly, if it happens then that is what insurance is for. They will cover your damages.

Just buy a geo metro for a few hundred bucks and drive to class in that...weld some extra thick armor on the side and find that car and ram the crap out of it.

Call the cops have the incident documented they will give you a "CAD" slip of the report-make sure cops know plate# of offending vehicle too.

Approach the driver privately, without any friends or the need to showboat, and respectfully let him know you'd like him to be more careful around your truck.

Further let him know that if he is incapable of complying with your respectful request, then it is best if he and his friends avoid you, and promise to do the same.

If that doesn't solve the problem, then crush him, his friends, his next of kin, his pets, his victory garden, his grandparents and any remaining likeness of him and his ilk.

No quarter, no mercy, no witnesses.
