some of this, a little of that
When I met my wife she was about as anti gun as anyone I have met. A family friend of hers was killed by a gunshot to the head from her husband. There were a series of unpleasant arguments between us when we moved in together over my hunting rifle in the closet. Over some time she became comfortable with having it in the house. A lot of talking about guns led to me having a handgun in the house. I got a CPL in my state and she is cool with it and for the first time this year she went shooting with us. She went fired a .22 and by the end was giggling and loading her own mags and enjoyed it. She fired my .45 once just to see, and it was enough for now. She is now starting to nag on when we are going again. I'm not saying she want to join the NRA or get a CPL herself yet, but through talks and education she had become comfortable with them, and that is all you can hope for. Good luck!

   .

i wanst neccesarily referring to you but unarmed citizens in general. If your a MMA fighter or karate or whatever else then you would more than likely have a better chance at defending your fam. But in my opinion I would rather have a gun. I realize we have differing opinions and we both feel strongly about our side and reasons for doing so. I am also thankful that I even have the option to carry in my state as others are not so furtunate.

I carry all the time because i took an oath to protect the citizens of my jurisdiction...i've seen too much go bad in too many "nice" areas to think not carrying would be a good idea

For whatever reason, our armed robberies here tend to be very violent...with the victims ending up shot

We had a rash for a couple years where we never even got the armed robbery calls, but a citizen would call in once he arrived at the business and found the employees on the floor

i refuse to be a victim and i refuse to not be able to defend myself and others around me should i be caught in the middle of something

You're awfully hostile/sarcastic for someone who wants a civil discussion. No need to get offended at every post. YOU came in here and asked us to explain.

I'm not hostile at all. I was kidding with Zombie. I have no problem with him. But you seem to be the hostile one. Assuming that I know nothing because I didn't agree with you. I'm not a member of triple A or do I go to the dealer for work on my truck. Or should I say I do to make you feel bettter about it?

I was merely trying to convey to you the idea of being prepared and taking responsibility for your own self. Rather than relying on a mechanic or tow truck or police. I don't really care what you do.
