I got my first 4x4 in 1972...haven't been without one! I still like Chrome!
I am doing the Glove Box Light mod below as well as putting Under Dash lights to light the foot area. I want the Under Dash lights to come on when when the doors are opened. To do this I will ground them to the door switch wire. Any descriptions of an always hot wire, as to color - location or pictures would be greatly appreciated.

There are a couple in the remote control reciever under the dash by the glove box. It only has 3 wires running into it. I don't know how much power is going to them though. I just poked around with a test light. There should be some in the fuse box and there is always the power wire to the radio. Personnally I would just find an area you want to tie in and use a test light to find what will suit your needs. If you want power with only the headlights, there are several in the climate control. If you dont have one, a test light is a must buy.
