There are anti-siphon measures on all modern vehicles. You may have to drop the tank to be able to get a clear shot at the fuel.

Pure guessing on my part. Someone more knowledgeable may have better info.

That aside, I hope you and your loved ones are safe.

You would have to drop the tank.

Like others have said. There’s a check valve in the tube. It’s there to prevent fuel from sloshing out in a rollover or such. But I have read you might me able to sneak a skinny vinyl tube down.

Yea, unlikely you will be able to get a hose down the filler.

Easiest way to get gas out probably is gona be to unhook the fuel feed line under the hood (careful as there may be residual pressure on it), connect a hose to the line from the tank, jump pins 3 & 5 of the C/OPN relay, and turn the key on to run the pump.

Similar to Dm93's post above, you can check out this thread:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/draining-fuel-from-tank.778962/

It will at least show you where the fuel lines are since they're in a similar location in a 6 cyl.

I tried using an inline hand pump, which did work, but very slow. Too slow for me, so I hooked up my gas transfer pump and it became hands free.

Let others chime in before you do this but my brother who lives near Asheville NC and lost power for 5 days disconnected his fuel line on the carburetor on his 83 Trans Am and cranked the engine. The submersible fuel pump pumped the gas he needed into a gas can he had. He was running his campers small generator to power the refrigerator in the house. I wasn't there to see this but he said it beat the hell out of his other options. Before anyone asks the fuel injection set up is history on his car. He converted it to a 4 barrel carb set up. All the gas stations were closed with no electricity to operate the pumps.
Can this be done with fuel injection? I see that mentioned above.

Don't smoke while doing anything like that. My brother in laws buddy stuck his face in the carburetor of the car they were priming and trying to start. Forgot about the cigarette in his mouth. His eyebrows and hair grew back.

Just keep in mind the amount of fuel the fuel pump is designed to deliver to the engine is microscopic compared to the amount of fuel he wants to get out of the tank.

They pump fast enough (1-2 gpm) to empty the tank pretty quick.
If I have the ability to easily run the pump that's how I drain them at work all the time when I have to drop the tank.

You’re still gonna be there for at least half an hour. I remember troubleshooting the fuel pump on my 80 series and it’s kind of a trickle. If that’s your only option though, it’s not the worst thing.

If people put locking gas caps to stop siphoning on these trucks then it should be siphonable.

the amount of new cars I have had to drain fuel at work for repair is many
Using a pocket screwdriver. To depress the “anti” thing. To get my hose back out. Where the official tool uses a hose.

You can get around the anti siphon flap, you'll need small fuel hose for like a generator, mower, scooter to get to the gas though so it'll be slow going to get a gallon but once its flowing your good to go.

You'd be surprised how quick it will come out. When it's running the majority of fuel being pumped out of the tank is being shunted back to the tank through the pressure relief valve, stick the hose in a can with no backpressure and a 40psi pump will move some liquid.
