From all that I have read... you should be covered under warranty, especially is the dealership installed the lift. Damage occurs while it is vibrating. It tears up the bearing and could wear the contact point on the CV or I imagine the "race" in the clamshell. Is it possible that you were feeling a tire issue all along? I would make sure the dealership has your complaint on record and the date you reported it in case it or (when) it becomes more of an issue later. If they do fix it eventually... it will just be with the same part that failed and not the ultimate remedy (the bushing) most likely.

Mine's a TRD Off Road, and I developed the vibes shortly after installing my lift. Icon stage 4 with tubular UCA, coilovers almost maxed out. I have almost everything to do the bushing, so I'll be doing it next weekend.

I guess anything is possible, but, the symptoms described here in this thread and another couldn't have been more exact to what I was experiencing.
My description of the issue and complaint should definitely be on record. It's in the printout of services completed.

Mines a TRD sport and I developed the vibe immediately after a lift and vibes went away after ECGS clamshell bushing.

One of my "know it all buddies" told me this: If I take out the needle bearing and replace it with the ECGS bushing, the warranty is voided because I disturbed the stock axle mechanics? I don't understand this stuff. Does anyone have an opinion on that statement?

I got vibes between 30 and 45 the same day I lifted it. OME 888 with nitrochargers ~ 2.6" of lift in front.

That's at the discretion of the dealer. It's certainly possible and likely though, yes.

If you think it will be a problem order a new needle bearing and just say it's been doing the weird vibes all along

They have to prove the bushing caused whatever ever part in question to fail. Not sure what part in the front end you're worrying about breaking.

Dealer voiding warranty wasn't a concern when I installed mine.

I had my dealer install my busing to avoid running into this problem, but I have an excellent relationship with my Yota dealership so they kinda hooked me up on that one- I also brought them the slide bearing puller set as well as bearing driver to help with uninstall/reinstall, which they said they wouldn't have taken the job otherwise since they would have had to pull the whole front diff out to swap the bearing if the ECGS tools didn't work.

2017 TRD OR DCLB - installed OME nitrochargers with OME 888 coils and a Deaver AAL for the rear. Between 2.75" And 2" all around I've not experienced and vibrations yet. Truck has 2.5k miles and had the lift on for about 1000 miles so far. Hopefully, it stays this way.

Im getting the vibes at 35-40mph after my lift. improved after alignment of course, but still there a little. Interesting tho: switch to 4 Hi and it goes away of course, and when back to 2WD its gone for a while. its only been 2 days and has done this each day. Obviously i should try the ECGS bushing, but give me yalls thoughts on this... My lift called for spacers on the diff drop. easy enough to remove, so should i try that and see if theres a difference? I imagine the spacers for the diff drop is there for a reason (make it easier on the CVs?)

I had slight vibes with my ToyTec Boss lift with their AAL then swapped out to Dakar leafs w/out the carrier bearing drop and no shims and it's smoother. I had ordered the ECGS and have it sitting here but may wait to install it now.

Harvo, im in TN also. Thinking about asking Toyota Knoxville this week about them doing the bushing job. Wondering if you have done anything yet and if you were successful?

If you have the vibes the only thing that might fix is going back to stock height. However what I've seen is once you lift, it goes to this angle which causes the needle bearing to fail, so once it's failed it should be replaced with another needle bearing at a minimum (even if removing lift) or you should apply the bushing to fix the vibes and maintain lift. If you replace the needle bearing with another needle bearing, you're going to run into the same problem inevitably --just a matter of time and miles.

Again, if the vibes are happening it is because the bearing failed. This inherently should tell you that you need to replace the part that has failed or risk chewing up the CV Axle shaft....your choice.

Wel I don't see why I wouldn't replace with the bushing... I was really just curious about the diff drop. I knew the needle bearing/lift was the culprit here.... I've already inquired with my local dealer to see if they would operate if I supplied the bushing.

I'm in Chattanooga (Cleveland actually) and I'm going to ask the Toyota Dealership where I bought it. I just haven't yet. They install lifts in their shop so hopefully they have heard of the bushing and ideally will install them if asked. Tom's 4x4 is the shop I asked first.

Great info. Looking to lift my 2016 and will definitely be getting an ECGS bushing installed at the same time.
