Let me know if you get any positive response from the dealer. Called mine today and they said if I bring in the truck and the part they will take a look. Didn't sound like he'd heard the issue before cause I had to explain it a lot (maybe my fault more than his lol)... but I have an appt thurs morning for the rear diff recall. Gonna try to arrange the bushing install also. Will let y'all know how it goes.

Mechanics often don't like when you come to them with a self-diagnosis. They also are not usually fans of replacing integral OEM parts with aftermarket stuff based on self-diagnosis on a warrantied vehicle. Print out the instructions and bring the parts with you to show mechanic.

I know. And already printed them out. Even offering to provide the tool. We discussed how that would cause a few things to not be covered under warranty if it fails. Which is fine. Just want a good install and I'll be happy.

I didn't ask you a question. I told Harvo to let me know what his dealer said if he asks them in Chattanooga

If you learn how to quote correctly it makes things a lot easier for everybody involved.

Well I appreciate your input friend, but it might be easier on you if you weren't trying too hard to get involved when I asked other ppl questions

You did ask a question above. You directed it at everyone, it appears, as you did not specifically reply to or quote any individual.

Put 6112s on front set at 2 inches, SPC racing UCAs. Zero vibrations before lift. After lift, vibrations immediately reared their head. Alignment performed, corrected driveline angles immediately with shims (had to add small shim to carrier bearing), confimed vibrations disappeared when switching to 4WD. Took it to Toyota. I have a good relationship with my service advisor and mechanic so I was upfront with them about the vibrations post lift. They confirmed it was needle bearing failure. The replaced bearing under warranty. Vibrations absolutely gone.

2017 TRD OR 4X4, 2.25" lift with Icon front / 5100 rear w/ 3leaf AAL. No vibe yet. I installed the lift at about 1500 miles; currently at approx 5050 miles or so.

If they replaced the Needle Bearing with a Needle Bearing, the vibrations will eventually return as this is the weak point in the design -- the bearing itself. This is why ECGS designed the bushing.

That's my suspicion. I already have the ECGS bushing in hand whenever it does happen again.

Went to my local dealership this morning to see about the bushing install. I provided the part and the tool (just courteous offer on the tool) and they quoted me at 5 hrs labor! Amounting to about $620. i said no thank you. Really didnt want to do it myself cause not sure i'll put it back together correctly. but i can def do it less than 5 hours. little disappointing

So I'm guessing the best thing to do is when you decide to have a lift installed, have these needle bearings replaced at the same time even if they seem fine up to that point?

Shortly after installing 2" lift I encountered the vibration. Last week I had the bushing installed. Smooth as silk now. Anyone need the tool? $25 includes shipping. Just passing it along.
