    Hello,
In early January my wife and I will most likely drive to Beech Mountain in my truck for some snow tubing. I may make a stop at Nemo Tunnel in Wartburg before getting to Beech. If I do it will add 1 more day and 1 nights hotel stay near Nemo to then head to Beech the next morning, about 4 hours east.

I’m trying to decide if it’s worth the extra drive for me. It seems like an easy to moderate trail and the tunnel is certainly cool.

For those who have gone how long is the trail itself? I know that time varies on how many stops you make but I mean in miles. It seems like it loops back to the main entrance so I “shouldn’t” get lost.
I found these maps and info on Easyoffroad.com. Not sure how accurate this info is.

There’s also Windrock Prison and Train OHV Trail. Don’t know if that is easy and/or if it leads to Nemo.

My truck is a ‘15 DCSB 4.0 TRD O/R with 265/70r17 BFG A/T KO2’s on 4Runner Trail wheels, 2.5” lift front and back & SOS bolt-on rock sliders. Don’t mind getting dirty but not looking to break anything especially being far from home.

    Thank you.

Why bolt all that stuff to your truck if you aren't going to use it. Nemo is super easy - go have fun

Looks like fun. Next time I head towards Boone, going to give this a go.
