I have not posted pictures in a bit, but I have some pics. Here are some shots.

Here is a picture the weekend of Christmas. There was about 2" of snow on the ground, I woke up to warm up the truck and I see my Tacoma freezing.

I had to take a trip up to northern AZ to check the mail at the local post office. It is located in a canyon, about 3"-5" of snow on the ground.

I found a grille on sale on eBay that was the same color as my stock grille. I decided to purchase it and redo a satoshi mod. I use the same mesh material that ames (alex) used.

These pictures were taken when I went down to visit the inlaws. They live in a place call Tall Mountain. I enjoy my travels when I head to their place, they tons of snow. This time when we went down, the snow was melting and the roads were muddy! :woot:

Here are pictures of the broken grille I replaced. Back in November, some one backed into my grille and broke some tabs and parts of the grille. I bought a used grille from eBay. Not worth saving or selling, so I got rid of it.

Last week I order an 'Autobot' from MetalMiller. I used some spray paint and painted it white. It turned out great.

That looks awesome man keep it up! Do you remember who and how much the grille was on ebay? I"m trying to find one to do a satoshi and if I can find the blackish color they have out I would love that one.

I emailed the guy and asked if there was any other parts he was selling of his 5 lug. He said no, all he was doing is buying a color match grille (super white). I guess it was a one time deal from the seller. He had a 'Buy It Now' for $60 w/ free shipping. I jumped on the deal myself.

Hey, I have been debating getting a muffler for months now but am still undecided. I have a 98 2.7L.
I have been looking at the dynomax (same one you have) and the mangaflow? What were your deciding factors to go with the dynomax? How did you put if on? weld it yourself? clamp? have someone weld it? Do you wish you would have done anything different with the exhaust? I just dont want that annoying drone inside the cab on the highway.

Chris4x4 has tested some mufflers and said he has seen better performance from the Super Turbo. "Better performance" as in gains in hp. The sound is great and not too loud. Other mufflers have good sound, but don't put out as much hp as the Super Turbo. I took it to a local exhaust shop they cut the stock exhaust off and weld the Super Turbo in place (the cost for my install was $30, price may range $25-$50).

There are several members with 1st and 2nd generation who like how Dynomax perform, you can search this. This link was helpful in choosing the Dynomax Super Turbo.

BTW, as time goes the muffler will tone down. It still sounds great.

Looks good, I am just about to endulge and may have a bunch o questions to pick your brain on experience like what kind of gear reduction did you do, if any and if not, hows the power with the 31's? Beautiful little Taco 5 lugger.

Saweeet truck man! I really like all you've done to it. I got a couple questions for you as well...How are you liking the Readylift kit? Does it put the tie-rod ball joints in a bind at all? Can you post more pics of the suspension and tie-rods(ball joint to spindle)?
And finally, does the muffler have any kind of "ricer" sound to it when you get on it? I really want to stay away from making my exhaust sound like a ricer and be scenic, just want the good mellow exhaust sound.
    TIA

    Welcome to TW.
I am currently running stock gears with the 31s. I am thinking of regearing, the next gear ratio I could is a 4.56 gear ratio. I was thinking of going with 4.11s, because I am a 5 lug, finding aftermarket parts for my truck is not ease. But I have been looking into trying to see what I can do.

    welcome to TW.

The Readylift kit is great. It gave me what I was looking for - a lifted Tacoma with bigger wheels. I know some say running spacers gives a vehicle a rough ride. This is my first truck, I have nothing else to compare how my truck should feel. I am satisfied with the kit and the ride quality.

The only issues I had was with the rear OEM shocks, they were maxed out. So I went and installed some Pro Comp shocks to improved the ride.

As for the muffler, it has tone down since it was installed, it sounds great on the road. I have notice a gain in throttle response, possibly some hp. But I have no dyno results to prove it. Overall, I am happy with my muffler, it sounds and performs great!

Believe it or not, I got my wheels and tires for only $600. I got them used from TW Shaun (AZ11). The BFG had plenty of thread on them, the wheels are awesome.

The rims are 15x8, here is link with more info and for a great price.

Yes, it is a 2wd and a 5 speed manual.

No problem with the questions, if you have more, feel free to ask.
