I've always had Silverado trucks being from Detroit, but now that I'm on the west coast and seen the obvious awsomness of the Tecoma, I am totally addicted. I just blew my wad on my truck, and I have thousands spent in my head on product I don't really need lol. I think it's because i'm now an avid TecomaWorld lurker, that all this coolness has my head spinning.

This is my modest brand new truck. My first payment is due next week, so it's new! I want to lift it eventually, but is it worth it to simply put 5100 all around and add a leaf? Along with whatever else I need, still researching, then I can do a full suspension lift upgrade down the road?

I plan on getting the TRD Matte Black rims, and I really want to gain an extra inch or two if possible. I also plan on increasing the tire to the stock max of 265/70/R17.

Just wanted to say hello, and glad I finally got one one these Tacoma!

Keep your shocks for now. Wait and see if the ride is right. If you're going to lift it change the shocks when you do. I had an 05 Sport, loved the ride. I put the 5100's on the 17 LTD to get the old ride back & it worked.

AAL not yet (my opinion). See how you like the ride after a couple of k miles

I think it is an east coast spelling / pronunciation... My Tecoma is awesome!
Welcome to the halls of burnt money, where collectively brag about how poor we are and the shit we don't need, but are trucks are so cool.

That guy was one of a kind. Buddy of my brother did high-rise window washing, and while on a platform doing windows at a condo, The Macho Man blew out a sliding glass door and said in is gravely voice, "What's goin' on high flyers." The dude nearly went over the rail of the platform!

I'm just Gunna chime in and inform you that if you want to really go bigger on tires skinny 33s will fit. Enjoy watching your savings dwindle.

I have the same config as you. TRD Sport DCLB. I enjoy my truck as well in Northern San Diego. Unless you are in the sand, there is no need for 4x4 down here in Cali. Enjoy the suspension and tires until they run out. I'm at 55k miles today and I'm going to be buying new tires in the next 10k miles. I might change out my shocks when I replace the tires but as buying time gets closer, I'm probably going to wait for 100k miles and change them regardless.

    Welcome and congrats.

You may want to look into purchasing this tee to go with the truck.
